Subject: PFAFF: centering large files

When I split a file into 2 pieces because of stitch limitations, I follow
Great Notions and put a large stitch diagonally across the design from
corner to corner. This positions the pattern when you sew it out.

Dorothy,
Once you have the files separated, call them up one at a time in PCD and
hit the end key. This will dehighlight the stitches and make sure your
cursor is on the last stitch of that section. Then choose set stich and
place a single stitch at coordinates 0,0 in bottom left of frame and
another at the top right of the frame making sure that it is in the exact
center of the corner. Do this for each of the sections. Then send them to
the machine one at a time. You will not be able to move the design up or
down in the frame but you will be sure all of the sections are lined up
properly and the design should line up. The long stitches to the corners
can be clipped away.
