It works exactly the same for the Mac version of PC Designer. >You can print them out on transparency film (get the kind made for YOUR >printer). Then you have a permanent see-through template. I've done it. It >works! I like the idea of transparencies. However, special transparency film can get a little too pricey for me if alot a templates are made. What I have done is had one 1:1 paper print out laminated at KINKO's with very heavy laminate material or you could probably find some sort of heavy plastic/cardboard around the house that will work as good. Basically what I did with the heavily laminated template was to make a frame to sit in the hoop--the inner square and around the hoop edge are cut away. Be very careful when cutting on the thick black hoop line. If you cut away too much the frame will fall through the hoop instead of sitting snuggly on its little ledge. The heavily laminated frame can be used again and again and will support a wax paper transparency with aid of a little tape. In a couple of seconds I trace the main parts of a design by using a Sharpie permanent pen and wax paper placed over a 1:1 print out. This really makes positioning designs very easy and cost effective for me. ------------------- Paula Milner, Florida 1475 & 7570 MacPfaffie mailto:paula@cyberport.net http://cyberport.net/users/milnerwm for Pfaff FAQ -------------------
